Community Alerting System
Island Heights Office of Emergency Management has contracted the services of
Global Connect for a Community Alerting System that may be used to notify
all residents of Island Heights in the event of an emergency. We have also
contracted with Verizon to obtain the 9-1-1 Database. This database contains
every direct dial landline telephone number in Island Heights. This
registration process will allow you to register your cellular, and/or VOIP
phone numbers with your address. This will ensure that you are on the list
to receive notifications from our Community Alerting System.
In the event of an emergency, public safety personnel will activate the
system to automatically call all telephone numbers within the Borough and
deliver a recorded message.
Uses for the Community Alerting System include but are not limited to the
following:
- Weather Emergencies
- Hazardous Materials Events
- Emergency Evacuations
- Amber Alerts
- Missing Person Alerts
- Local Security & Crime Alerts
NOTE: When filling in the form below, please identify your physical address
(Actual street, NOT P.O. Box address). When adding your additional phone
numbers do not include any spaces or dashes ie: 9735551234
