Island Heights Board of Health

The Island Heights Board of Health held its meeting on March 10, 2009 at Island Heights Borough Hall. Pat Drapzak, Claire Cagney, Joanne Moy-Robinson, Herman Hart, Claire Baney and Betsy Hyle (council liaison) were present. Absent were Herman Hart, Fran Gajano and Eileen Mc Kenna. Claire Baney is the new member to be voted in tonight at the IH Council Meeting.

Meeting was brought to order at 9:10 AM.

Tenents in house a on Ocean Avenue should not be allowed to be there. The house is in a residential neighborhood and the woman is running it as a rooming house. Ken Anderson is now on this and will be looking into it.

Parking of trucks on the street is a problem on Cedar Avenue. The road is not wide enough for them to park on both sides of the road. Betsy said to come to a council meeting and let them know about this problem.

Herman mentioned that there is a problem with the bird droppings. He was told by Betsy that the environmental committee is working on this problem also.

Gypsy Month season is coming and the problem is lessening. We do not qualify for spraying because we are too small.

Pat moved to adjourn the meeting and Joann seconded it.
